Lucy Davies, MSW Intern

Lucy Davies is in her second year of a three year MSW program at Stony Brook University. After spending over a decade creating online content for universities, and writing articles about how and why to become a social worker, Lucy made a meaningful career shift to pursue her long-held passion for helping others.  Lucy decided to follow the path herself and pursue her master's degree in social work.

Lucy  is focused on providing compassionate care and support to women navigating life transitions, medical diagnoses, and emotional challenges.  With a unique background and a wealth of life experience, Lucy brings a fresh perspective to her work, allowing her to connect deeply with clients. Her empathetic approach, combined with her strong academic foundation in social work, makes her a valuable asset to the team. Lucy is committed to empowering women to find resilience and healing in their mental health journey and wellbeing across a lifespan.  She is excited to be enhancing her clinical skills in the community of experienced practitioners at Helping Hands Psychotherapy.

Lucy is supervised by Megan Farina, LCSW, PMH-C and will be with HHP through May of 2025, and expects to graduate in May of 2026.
