I have a Masters Degree in social work and I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) in NYS.   I am certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) by Postpartum Support International.  I have supervised, mentored and coached many clinicians as they worked towards their professional goals.  I currently am on faculty at the Stony Brook School of Social Welfare in The Field Education Department.  I enjoy working with individuals and teams of professionals to set goals and develop new programs.  I currently provide trainings for other professionals on topics related to reproductive mental health, and offer supervision/consultation for emerging perinatal clinicians and new EMDR providers.

After years of personal and professional experience I found a passion in helping others with reproductive mental health issues.  I provide individual and group psychotherapy- working with both the individual and as needed the couple.  My practice specializes in the treatment of mental health issues related to pregnancy, the postpartum period, infertility, adoption and perinatal loss.  I am trained and certified n EMDR- a specific type of therapy that helps individuals to resolve trauma, reprocess information that may seem stuck, and allow healing to continue.

I am the team leader for Helping Hands Psychotherapy Perinatal Mental Health Team and provide consultation for clinicians working in the field of perinatal mental health.

 

I am a member of Resolve- the national infertility association, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine- Mental Health Practitioners Group, and EMDRIA-EMDR International Association.   I have completed the Postpartum Support International certificate training for the diagnosis and treatment of perinatal mood and anxiety disorders.  I am on the executive advisory board for the Nassau County Department of Health Perinatal Services Network and I am chair of the maternal mental health work group.
