isaac dalsheimer, lmsw

Isaac Dalsheimer received his masters degree in social work from NYU and is a NYS Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW).

Isaac is a compassionate and humanistic psychotherapist committed to supporting the holistic health and wellness of his clients. Isaac utilizes strengths-based and empowerment techniques that respect the autonomy and right to self-determination of each client as they move through the therapeutic process. He offers continued curiosity about the dynamic lives of those he works with - their history, their present, and goals for their future. While working with him, you will receive a personalized approach to therapy and will consistently be met with non-judgment in whatever you bring to the room.

Isaac joins HHP with a passion for helping families navigate the challenges of perinatal life transitions and fostering parental mental health. He holds particular interest in supporting fathers and non-birthing partners in their unique experiences. He believes that the mental health of family members are intertwined, and hopes that therapy can be a transformational step towards mediating familial distress. He sees himself as both an advocate and collaborator alongside his clients, through whatever form their therapeutic journey takes.

Isaac believes that relationships are often where our deepest joys and most challenging conflicts arise. With a foundation in conflict resolution, he aims to help partners navigate misunderstandings, express their needs effectively, and rebuild trust. Isaac emphasizes fostering open communication and exploring the underlying dynamics that often contribute to tension.  His goal when working with couples is to help you move beyond repetitive patterns toward a space of mutual understanding and respect.   Using this approach of curiosity & compassion, conflicts can become opportunities for growth, deepened connection, and lasting change.

Isaac integrates a range of therapeutic techniques in order to offer personalized care. He draws upon psychodynamic, family systems, mindfulness, relational, narrative, emotions-focused, and behavioral approaches.

Isaac is supervised by Megan Farina, LCSW, PMH-C
