Course Objectives:

1. Be able to successfully modify EMDR steps in developmentally appropriate ways for children.

2. Participants will identify key developmental differences between children and adults that impact the application of the EMDR standard protocol, enabling age-appropriate adaptations.

3. Participants will learn how to modify therapeutic language within the EMDR standard protocol to ensure it is developmentally appropriate and engaging for children.

4. Participants will develop skills to integrate creative and interactive interventions into the EMDR standard protocol tailored to the unique needs of children.

5. Participants will gain strategies for addressing common challenges in using EMDR with children, including managing attention, establishing rapport, and ensuring safety throughout the therapeutic process.
