This EMDR Basic training is taught by EMDRIA approved trainer and consultant Gina Colelli, LCSW

Training is only available to eligible mental health providers (MHPs). 

You must attend all dates to complete this training and receive a certificate of completion.

Refunds are not available after October 1st, 2024.  Registration may be transferred to another licensed MHP prior to the first day of the training.

Learning Objectives:

  • Know the history and development of the EMDR model
  • Know Model, Methodology, and Mechanism
  • 8 Phase EMDR Model
  • Adaptive Information Processing
  • Mechanism of Action
  • How to assess and evaluate client readiness for EMDR
  • Prepare clients for EMDR reprocessing including resourcing and grounding
  • Learn and apply EMDR standard protocol and procedures
  • Integrate additional EMDR protocols for specific presenting problems
  • Apply EMDR into clinical practice
  • How to troubleshoot common issues that arise in processing

*20 Hours of Instruction (in-person), 20 Hours of Practicum (in-person), 10 hours of Consultation Included (To be scheduled virtually outside of the training dates in group format).

**This course is approved for 41 contact hours of continuing education for NYS licensed social workers, mental health counselors, and psychologists.  ASWB approved.
