Helping Hands Psychotherapy

I received my Masters in Social Work from Columbia University. Currently, I am licensed to practice in NYS as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).  I have experience working in outpatient mental health clinics with children, adolescents, adults and families.  I utilize various client centered , evidence based interventions such as CBT and EMDR, with a strength-based approach.  Elyse is certified in Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C) by Postpartum Support International.

Through personal and professional experience I have discovered a passion for working with individuals to enhance self-awareness, build stronger relationships and improve the family experience. When one member of the family is suffering it impacts the entire family.  My goal is to help you to understand your emotions, learn skills to be able to cope with life stressors, and be able to enjoy life.
